Frozen Shoulder (adhesive capsulitis)
Frozen shoulder is the result of scarring, thickening, and shrinkage of the joint capsule and is a condition characterized by swelling, stiffness and pain in your shoulder joint. which in turn limits your range of motion. When the tissues in your shoulder joint become thicker and tighter your shoulder joint doesn’t have enough space to rotate properly.
Signs and symptoms typically begin gradually and worsen over time.
Any injury to the shoulder can lead to a frozen shoulder, including tendinitis, bursitis, and rotator cuff injury (rotator cuff syndrome).
